Real World Experience

LNB Safety was created by Songo (Shon) Bailey in April of 2021. Although LNB Safety, LLC is a new company, the owner and Lead instructor of LNB Safety has 20+ years as a firefighter and 13+ years in the public works/streets and sanitation field for a combined 30+ years of real world experience. Throughout his careers he became more and more curious about the different aspects of safety which led to multiple licenses and certifications from both jobs. Among those are being licensed by the IEPA as a Class C water operator and authorized by OSHA to teach both the 10-hour and 30-hour courses and obtain both 10-hour and 30-hour cards.

Unfortunately, OSHA is one of the most feared and misunderstood agencies and aspects of safety which is why he decided to shift his focus on teaching and training the public in hopes of clearing misconceptions and reducing avoidable workplace injuries.

Mr. Bailey is authorized to teach throughout the country and his status can be confirmed by going to Osha.gov >help and resources>training> program overview> scroll down to “how to find outreach trainers and classes”> outreach trainers > select GENERAL INDUSTRY> ILLINOIS as trainers state then look for his name (Songo Bailey).
